Ashok Leyland Trucks Domestic Sales In December 2024

Ashok Leyland sold 8,979 units of MHCV trucks in the domestic market in December 2024, a 9% YoY increase from 8,219 units in December 2023. In the final month of the calendar year 2024, the company sold 5,225 units of LCVs domestically, showing only a 4-unit increment from 5,221 units sold in December 2023.

In December 2024, the brand sold 14,204 trucks domestically, a sales growth of 5.73% YoY from the 13,434 units sold in India in December 2023.

Ashok Leyland Truck Exports In December 2024

The company exported 259 units of M&HCVs in December of 2024, a significant 144.34% YoY sales increase over the 106 units exported in December 2023. With 258 units of LCVs exported last month compared to 303 units in December 2023, export sales dropped by 14.85% year over year.

Ashok Leyland commercial vehicle export sales increased by a noteworthy 26.41% YoY, from 409 units exported in December 2023 to 517 units exported in December 2024.

Overall Ashok Leyland Truck Sales In December 2024

When both domestic and foreign sales are taken into consideration, Ashok Leyland's total sales increased by 6.34% year over year, from 13,843 units in December 2023 to 14,721 units in December 2024.

The company experienced an 11% YoY growth in sales last month, selling 9,238 units of M&HCVs in December 2024 as opposed to 8,319 units in December 2023. With 5,483 units of LCVs sold in December 2024 as opposed to 5,524 units in December 2023, the brand had a 1% YoY decline in sales.

In terms of MHCV domestic sales performance in December 2024, Ashok Leyland sold 11,474 units of MHCV trucks and buses compared to 10,630 units in December 2023, reflecting an 8% increase in sales volume.
