Exterior

Maruti Suzuki has made a high-quality structure that helps to expand the life span of the mini-truck Super Carry. The exterior features of the truck are the same across all the available variants in the market. As per the specification, the gross vehicle weight is 1600 kg. The mini-truck is designed in such a way that it can easily carry an amount of load up to 740 kgs. The designed length, width and height of the car is specified as 3800 mm, 1562 mm and 1883 mm respectively.

The wheelbase of the vehicle has a length of 2110 mm. 155R13 LT 8PR type tyres are provided in case of both front and rear wheels. The company offers a ground clearance of 160 mm. However, a fuel tank of 30L capacity is available with petrol and diesel type engines. In the case of the CNG engine, the capacity of the fuel tank is given as 70 L (Water Equivalent). 

Interior

A spacious day type cabin with the proper amount of headroom is offered with the car. Though there is no option provided to tilt the cabin, the cabin has other standard features like adjustable seats of two numbers, sliding back windows, sun visor, bottle holder and standard 12V accessory socket. The manual steering is of Rack and Pinion Gear type which is tiltable. There is a driver information display also.

Performance

The performance of the vehicle is dependent on the variant as the engine is different in each case. The 793 cc diesel engine is configured with DDIS BS-IV technology along with DOHC valve system and designed to produce the maximum power of 24 kW at 3500 rpm and 75 Nm at 2000 rpm. The Direct Injection 4 Stroke fuel distribution system is provided for the engine. On the other hand, the 1196 cc petrol engine comprises of G12B BS-VI configuration and give a maximum output of 54 kW at 6000 rpm and peak torque of 98 Nm at 3000 rpm. In this engine, SOHC type of valve system and Multi-Point Fuel Injection system is adopted. For the latest variant of this mini-truck, the CNG type of engine is made for low air pollution as well as less fuel consumption. Like petrol engine, this also has the same configuration, but the maximum output and torque are 48 kW at 6000 rpm and 85 Nm at 3000 rpm respectively. The transmission duty of the vehicle is controlled manually with the help of a 5-speed gearbox which is the same for all the variants. 

Safety

Maruti Suzuki has designed its first mini-truck Super Carry with all the required safety gears. The latest Load Sensing Proportional Valve (LSPV) braking system is present within the car. The front brake is of Ventilated Disk type, and the rear brake is of Drum Brake type which ensures the safety of the driver. The upgraded wheel and tyre provides enhanced gripping and braking effect on all kind of road condition and enables the driver to deliver the cargo to its destination safely and securely. There are other safety components like seat belts, rear parking sensor system and seat belt reminder embedded in the car.

The Maruti Suzuki Super Carry is a well-devised and furnished mini-truck for small industrial uses. It arrives with a durable frame and robust engine, which assures steady and safe transportation. However, for additional safety, the driver has to be cautious while handling the vehicle with its fully stacked condition.
