  • Ashok Leyland is expecting significant growth in the SCV segment offering its new Saathi mini truck.

Ashok Leyland has announced its sales results for January 2025. The company has consistently increased its pace and aligned strategic resolutions to remain one of the market leaders in the commercial vehicle sector. In particular, the company sold cumulatively 72290 units in January 2025 compared to 77682 units of M&HCV trucks in January 2024. This is a 7 percent difference recorded by the company. Ashok Leyland’s Way Forward

Conclusion: Ashok Leyland’s Way Forward

Given the fact that these figures showcase only a marginal difference in the number of units (M&HCV and LCV) sold, they represent the fact that Ashok Leyland can turn around things by enhancing its product portfolio. Understanding this, Ashok Leyland has already started investing strategically in enhancing its product portfolio, launching its new mini-truck the Saathi. The company has also stepped into terminal tractor-trailer manufacturing business launching its eTIRAN terminal vehicle. These steps should secure the company a solid spot in terms of the number of LCV and M&HCV units sold in the market next year.
