Bajaj, Mahindra, Omega Seiki, Euler Motors Lead In Electric 3-Wheeler Cargo Sales In January 2025

According to the latest Vahan sales figures for January 2025, Bajaj Auto ranks first in the list of best-selling electric 3-wheeler (goods carrier) brands after selling 480 units. Read on.

As per the latest sales figures released by the Vahan portal, of the 59,930 electric 3-wheelers (e3W) that were sold in January 2025, a total of 2,493 units of the electric 3-wheeler goods carrier category were sold in retail. The monthly retail of electric cargo 3-wheelers shows a small number in sales volume and indicates slow sales growth compared to electric passenger carriers.

However, this segment witnessed stiff competition among major players like Mahindra Last Mile Mobility (MLMM), Bajaj Auto, Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM), and Euler Motors in January 2025. The segment experienced a 10.5% YoY sales growth compared to 2,256 units of electric goods carriers sold in January 2024.

Bajaj Electric 3-Wheeler Cargo Sales In January 2025

In the segment of electric cargo 3-wheelers, Bajaj Auto has Maxima XL Cargo E-TEC 12.0 and Maxima XL Cargo E-TEC 9.0 models in its portfolio. Demand for Bajaj Maxima XL Cargo E-Tec 9.0 and 12.0 models is rising despite the company entering the electric 3-wheeler industry late.

For the third month of the current fiscal year, it outsold market leader Mahindra Last Mile Mobility with 480 units sold in January 2025. What makes Bajaj models unique and best-selling is their standard warranty of 5 years or 1.2 lakh kilometres and leading performance to drive business profitability. 

Mahindra Electric 3-Wheeler Cargo Sales In January 2025

With the dominant market share of 27% in the segment during the current fiscal year, Mahindra LMM reported retail sales of 459 units in January 2025. The company has Treo Zor, Zor Grand, and E-Alfa Cargo models in its cargo electric 3-wheeler range. According to Vahan statistics, it sold 5,879 units overall between April 1, 2024, and February 6, 2025, giving it a significant 2,070-unit advantage over Bajaj Auto which holds second rank in the segment.

OSM & Euler Electric 3-Wheeler Cargo Sales In January 2025

Omega Seiki Mobility offers a wide range of electric cargo carriers on 3-wheels including Rage Plus, Rapid Pro 2.1, Rage Plus RapidEv Pro models and their application-based variants. The brand sold 368 units in the month of January 2025, totalling 2,735 units retail from April 2024 to the first week of February 2025.

While considering the monthly retail sales volume for January 2025, Euler Motors ranks fourth with a retail of 273 units, adding an overall sales of 2,491 units from April 2024 to 6th February 2025. The brand has a limited portfolio of electric cargo carriers on 3-wheels with HiLoad EV which is widely accepted by a number of logistics companies.

Overall Electric 3-Wheeler Retail Sales In January 2025

According to Vahan sales figures, the electric 3-wheeler sector is divided into 4 categories namely passenger carriers, goods carriers, e-rickshaws (passengers), and e-carts. Considering the retail sales figures of respective categories in January 2025, the e3W passenger carrier, e3W goods carrier, passenger e-rickshaw, and e-cart categories registered a retail of 12,858 units, 2,493 units, 38,819 units, and 5,760 units respectively.
