e-Ashwa Automotive opens EV Design & Engineering Centre

Surpass network milestones of over 1000 dealerships across India.
Riding the wave of faster electrification of the last-mile three-wheeler segment, e-Ashwa Automotive, one of the leading and fastest growing electric vehicle manufacturing brands in the country inaugurating the company’s first electric vehicle design and engineering Centre at Raj Nagar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
The firm also opened its 1000th dealer & Distributorship store in India. With 1000 dealership stores, e-Ashwa Automotive has become the first company in the EV segment to achieve this milestone.

e-Ashwa Automotive inaugurated the 1st EV design and engineering Centre in the country to turn the field from Made in India to Made in India. The Centre will work in sync with the design and engineering teams and it will house global talent across multiple disciplines of two-wheeler and three-wheeler electric vehicle design, advanced high-performance automotive engineering, digital & physical modelling and more. It will also house talent that will focus on vehicle R&D around new energy systems as well.
Speaking about the new centre, Vikas Gupta, Founder & CEO, e-Ashwa Automotive, said, “e-Ashwa’s new EV Design & Engineering Centre will enable us to tap into the large pool of great automotive design & engineering talent in India to create the next generation of EVs for our people. The Centre will work in close collaboration with our head office to help us build the future of mobility as we make EVs affordable and accessible across India.”
On this very special day, e-Ashwa Automotive has also achieved the milestone of 1000 EV distributor & dealership stores in the country. The company has been launching an average of 40-50 EV dealership stores every month especially post-pandemic as the demand for eco-friendly and affordable mobility solutions significantly increased.

For the last 4 years, e-Ashwa has been selling EV products and has so far set up 26 Assembly units in various parts of the country with 750+ team members from technical and support function backgrounds including dedicated Research and Development people. To date, it has sold over 18,000 EV products under different categories - e-scooters, e-motorbikes, e-loaders, e-food carts to e-garbage vehicles. It has assembly units in 16 states with a strong dealership network of over 950 dealers across the country.
“While we reached our 1000 dealership stores in close to 3 years, e-Ashwa has become the only company in India in the EV segment to achieve this milestone. We opened the first dealer store in August 2019, the 200th store in August 2021 and the 1000th store in September 2022. This shows the significant demand shift towards electric vehicles due to consumers becoming more environment-conscious and favourable government schemes towards electric vehicles to promote environment-friendly mobility solutions”, elaborated Gupta.
