In a much-anticipated move, Mahindra and Mahindra, one of India’s leading commercial-grade truck manufacturers, announces the price of the CNG variants of the Mahindra Veero light commercial vehicle (LCV). The Mahindra Veero CNG will be available in two trims: the base 1.4 XXL SD V2 CNG option, starting at Rs 8.99 lakh ex-showroom, and the 1.4 XXL SD V4 (A) CNG trim, starting at Rs 9.39 lakh ex-showroom. The vehicle has finally started rolling off the factory line and sales of the CNG variants have commenced.
Mahindra Veero CNG: What We Know So Far?
Constructed on Mahindra’s modular ‘Urban Prosper Platform (UPP)’, the Veero range of trucks sets new benchmarks in terms of safety, cost of ownership, comfort and design – aspects necessary by all standards for enhancing last-mile and long-lead cargo transport operations. Additionally, it features a 4.5-litre petrol tank for emergencies, extending its combined range to over 500 km. This makes it suitable for intracity and intercity cargo transportation. That’s not it, with a payload capacity of 1.4 tonnes, and 3035 mm load body length, the vehicle is ideal for carrying large goods in a single trip for faster turnaround times.

What about power? The Mahindra Veero CNG does not shy away from offering top-class power output. The Mahindra CNG truck is propelled by a ‘Turbo CNG’ engine that delivers best-in-class power of 89.84 hp and 210 Nm of torque. As mentioned earlier, the truck is also constructed to prioritise safety. The Veero CNG is built with a driver-side airbag, adherence to AIS096 crash safety standards and high-strength steel construction.
To take things a notch up, the CNG Veero also gets features like a False Start Avoidance System and best-in-class driver visibility, which underscores Mahindra’s commitment to customer safety. The cabin is also designed for maximum comfort, with a driver plus two occupant seating capacity, an air conditioner, a reclining driver’s seat, and a first-in-segment TFT instrument cluster.
