Mahindra & Mahindra has issued its monthly commercial vehicle and 3-wheeler sales report for January 2025. The brand saw a 32% YoY increase in 3-wheeler sales in January 2025.

Mahindra & Mahindra, one of the leading commercial vehicle manufacturers in India, released its monthly sales figures for January 2025. The latest Mahindra sales report covers not only commercial vehicles including light commercial vehicles (LCVs), and medium and heavy commercial vehicles (MHCVs), but also includes sales numbers of 3-wheelers by Mahindra Last Mile Mobility.
Based on the gross vehicle weight (GVW) range, the LCV units are divided into 3 categories – LCVs under 2 tonnes, LCVs between 2 and 3.5 tonnes including Bolero Maxx PUP HD 2.0, and LCVs over 3.5 tonnes with MHCVs.

Mahindra Truck And 3-Wheeler Sales In January 2025
Mahindra's January 2025 commercial vehicle sales report showed a decline in sales of LCVs weighing less than 2 tonnes and sales growth in LCVs weighing between 2 and 3.5 tonnes and LCVs above 3.5 tonnes with MHCV trucks.
Mahindra Commercial Vehicles sold 3,541 units of LCVs weighing less than 2 tonnes gross vehicle weight in January 2025, a 12% YoY decrease from 4,039 units sold in the same month the previous year. LCV sales with GVWs between 2 and 3.5 tonnes rose by 5% YoY with sales of 19,209 units in January 2025 compared to 18,302 units in January last year.
In January this year, sales of MHCVs and LCVs with GVWs of over 3.5 tonnes were marginally up 2% YoY by selling 1,167 units compared to 1,140 units sold in January 2024. The brand exported 3,404 units to international markets this January, a notable 95% increase over the 1,746 units exported in the same month of 2024.
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, a subsidiary company of Mahindra & Mahindra, sold 7,452 three-wheelers, including electric three-wheelers, in January 2025, reflecting a significant 32% YoY increase from 5,649 three-wheelers sold in January 2024.
Bottomline
In the first month of the calendar year 2025, Mahindra & Mahindra saw an overall sales growth of 16% YoY, including exports. Mahindra’s overall auto sales for this month stood at 85,432 units and its commercial vehicle portfolio witnessed the monthly domestic sales of 23,917 units in January this year.
