Mahindra Loadking Optimo Tipper

December 12, 2019: Sharing the Mahindra and Mahindra onslaught in the light commercial vehicle market segment alongside the Mahindra JAYO is the Mahindra Load King Optimo Light Duty Truck. It is among the newest of Mahindra products in the segment and offers a number of variants such as - a cargo variant and a tipper option taking care of specific applications like sand mining and construction, etc. Mahindra is offering a warranty of 1+ 2 YEARS. The Mahindra Load King Optimo offers the best fuel efficiency and the largest loading span in its class while its compact architecture provides it extra agility to serve as a perfect last mile LCV.

The Mahindra Load King Optimo is sold in 4 variants, namely - OPTIMO LD 6 Tyre - SWB Cargo, OPTIMO LD 6 Tyre - LWB Cargo, OPTIMO LD 4 Tyre - LWB Cargo, and OPTIMO LD 4 Tyre - SWB Cargo. All these variants have separate GVW’s – 5950Kg, 5950kg, 6255kg, and 5500kg, respectively. Furthermore, all these variants are further available in following body types - CBC, DSD and HSD. Relative Payloads for these models based on their body type are as follows – 3800kg (CBC)/ 3520kg (DSD), 3725kg (CBC)/ 3370kg (DSD), 4195kg (CBC)/ 3775kg (DSD)/ 3665kg (HSD) and 3520Kg (CBC)/ 3220kg (DSD)/ 3090 (HSD).

Powering all these variants of the Mahindra Load King Optimo are the same engines from the JAYO range and thus has the following specs – 2.5-litre MDI BSIV diesel engine that makes a maximum power output of 70bhp coming in at 3200rpm, while the peak torque rating is set at 200 Nm which arrives in the 1800-2000rpm range. This engine gets the well-received BD40 5 speed manual gearbox mated to a 240mm dry plate type clutch. The BSIV CNG variant gets power from a 2.5 litre mDi engine that makes 58bhp at 3200rpm while peak torque of 182Nm is made in 1200-2000rpm range.
