Tata Magic Express

In the last-mile public transport segment, the all-new Tata Magic Express is an economical 10-seater van. Available in yellow and white colours, the Magic Express is served as a school van and tourist van. It is powered by a BS6-compliant 694cc engine with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology, delivering high performance and more business earnings. 

The Tata Magic Express van is built on a premium tough design philosophy with a new chrome-plated trust bar and Tata logo. Featuring a split grill with a matte black finish and an enhanced opening for improved airflow and radiator performance. Tata Magic Express price starts from Rs 7.27 lakh to Rs 7.34 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Magic Express Performance

The Magic Express is equipped with a 694cc 2-cylinder MPFI (Multi-Point Fuel Injection) petrol engine which generates 29.6 hp at 4000 rpm and 55 Nm at 2500-3500 rpm. Its engine is mated to a 5-speed synchromesh gearbox using a single plate dry friction diaphragm type clutch. 

With fuel-efficient performance, Tata Magic Express mileage is around 20.6 kmpl. It is incorporated with semi-elliptical leaf springs and a rigid axle at the front and semi-elliptical leaf springs and a live axle at the rear for jerk-free passenger movement. It comes with a hydraulic double-acting telescopic type suspension system to ensure a smooth journey.

This 10-seater van has a 26-litre fuel tank capacity to ensure reliable last-mile public transportation without any frequent need for refilling, improving the fleet uptime. With its disc front brakes and drum rear brakes, the Tata Magic Express van offers effective braking performance through its hydraulic braking system.

Tata Magic Express Specifications

Tata Magic Express comes in 2 GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) variants – 1830 kg and 1760 kg. Both variants have an overall body length of 3790 mm, width of 1500 mm, and wheelbase of 2100 mm. In the case of the 1830 kg GVW variant, the overall height is relatively higher at 1890 mm compared to the 1860 mm height of the 1760 kg GVW variant. 

The Tata Magic Express has a gradeability of 11.6 percent in the case of the 1830 kg GVW variant and 12.8 percent in the case of the 1760 kg GVW variant to ensure multi-terrain capability. It maintains a ground clearance of 150 mm to facilitate a smooth commute without facing any jerks during operations on highways. It provides 2 radial tyre size options of 12-inch and 13-inch. 

Tata Magic Express Features

The Magic Express features a new dashboard with a digital instrument cluster, USB charger and improved driver ergonomics. It offers an economy drive mode to improve fuel efficiency. To ensure fatigue-free driving, it boasts a spacious seating compartment and comfortable seats. The van has a reverse park assist feature to help drivers avoid collision while parking in reverse.
