Known for the high performance, Kamaz 2523 is powered by Cummins B5.6 Turbocharged After Cooled 5.9 Litre 6-Cylinder In-Line BS III Diesel engine, which could churn out maximum power of 215 HP @ 2,500 rpm and massive peak torque of 800 Nm @ 1,500 rpm. This much torque is more than enough to give it a swift pick up and acceleration right from the start and irrespective of the terrain.

Talking about its performance, the 9-speed ZF 1110 TD gear transmission system with Axial Spring Push Type Ceramic Clutch (380 mm diameter) could take this truck to a top speed of 80 km/h with gradeability hitting 48% in crawler gear. This much gradeability coefficient ensures that it climbs all the rough and high steep terrains with ease as it moves on a highway.

Also, the BS III emission norms makes it environment friendly while it is on long trips, thanks to the 300 Litre fuel tank capacity.

Braking and Safety

Kamaz has equipped 2523 with Dual Brake S Cam Type service brakes, Butterfly Type engine brake and parking brakes. Now, with this braking system, the tyres of dimension 11x20 16 PR at both front and rear do remarkably well stopping the truck in time on unpredictable Indian roads. Also, the Antilock Braking System (ABS) and Seat Belts along with rugged cabin frame do everything to minimize the injury in an accident, if happens.
