TATA 1009g LPT Engine & GearBox: The powertrain of this truck comprises Tata Motors new generation 3.8 SGI, 3783 cc CNG, spark-ignition type engine producing 83hp of power, and 285 Nm of torque, tuned to Tata's GBS27, 5-speed manual synchromesh gearbox with 5-forward and 1-reverse gears.

The engine is tuned to GB27, 5-speed gearbox with five forward and 1-reverse gear for a comfortable driving experience. For better cargo-carrying capabilities, the truck gets semi-elliptical leaf spring with hydraulic double acting telescopic shock absorbers at the front suspension and the rear semi-elliptical leaf spring. The clutch is 280 mm in single plate dry friction type, and dual circuit full air S cam brakes with the auto slack adjuster in drum type, for steep terrain and faster climbing capabilities the gradeability is 23.0% and 217 mm of ground clearance.
