EKA 6S

EKA Mobility, a mobility solutions company in India, has finally launched an electric passenger carrier at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025 – EKA 6S. The EKA 6S is an L5M category electric passenger carrier designed to enhance last-mile passenger mobility operations in India. With a D+6 seating capacity and approximately 140 km driving range, EKA Mobility expects to offer the 6S carrier as an efficient last-mile solution for businesses. EKA Mobility confirms that the launch of the 6S.

What We Know So Far? 

The new EKA 6S launched at the Auto Expo 2025 is a passenger transportation, personal use and commercial-services-oriented vehicle. The vehicle comes with a wheelbase measuring 2300 mm, has a ground clearance of 178 mm and a turning radius of 4.5 m. This should make it an ideal solution for navigating through urban driving conditions. In terms of performance, the electric motor and 15 kWh battery pack enable it to deliver 12 kW of maximum power and 65 Nm of peak torque. With a gradeability of 21 percent, EKA Mobility claims it is ideal for tackling inclines like flyovers. 

Apart from these, the vehicle also comes with the following specifications: 

• The three-wheeled passenger carrier has tubeless tyres sized 120/80 R12.
• The vehicle comes with a 3-year or 1.25 lakh km vehicle warranty (whichever is earlier).
• EKA 6S also gets a 6-year or 1.65 lakh km battery warranty (whichever is earlier).  
• The EKA three-wheeler comes with a DC fast-charging option. With this, the company claims that customers can fully charge the battery in just 2 hours.
• Using the single-phase AC charging option, it takes 5 hours to juice up the battery pack sufficient for faster turnaround times. 

Rivals: 

The EKA 6S is going to be one of its kind electric three-wheeled passenger carrier in India offering a 140 km range and a driver plus 6 occupants seating capacity. It should take on brands offering three-wheelers such as Mahindra, Baxy, Euler and OSM among others.
